Free Workshop: So You Think Your Child May Be Neurodivergent…What Now?

A free online workshop to help parents understand what they’re noticing and what steps they can take next, without pressure or labels.

You’re Not Alone in Asking These Questions

If you’ve ever wondered whether your child might be neurodivergent, you’re not alone. And you don’t have to figure out what comes next by yourself.

This free, online workshop helps parents understand what they’re noticing, what support options exist, and how to take next steps, without pressure or labels.

You might be noticing things like…

Your child eats the same foods over and over and strongly resists trying new ones

Your child can focus intensely on activities they love and has a hard time stopping or being interrupted

Transitions (leaving the house, ending play, bedtime) often lead to big emotions or meltdowns

Transitions (leaving the house, ending play, bedtime) often lead to big emotions or meltdowns

Your child has little habits they return to—humming, repeating phrases, squeezing their hands, or fidgeting—especially when overwhelmed or concentrating

Small changes to routines or plans feel like a really big deal

Emotions seem bigger, last longer, or come out all at once at home

Busy places, loud noises, or certain clothes feel overwhelming

Your child holds it together at school but falls apart once they’re home

If some of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. And it doesn’t mean you need to have everything figured out right now.

When you’re noticing differences, it’s normal to have questions

You might be wondering:

  • Is this just a phase, or something more?
  • Should I be worried, or wait it out?
  • Where do I even start if I want answers?

Children develop in their own time and in their own ways.

Having questions doesn’t mean something is “wrong.” It means you’re paying attention.

In this free workshop, taught by Susie Estrada and Samantha Sego from the Utah State Board of Education, you’ll have space to learn, ask questions, and gain clarity—if and when you’re ready.

What you’ll learn in this workshop

How to make sense of what you’re noticing

Understand developmental differences, typical variation, and what doesn’t automatically mean a diagnosis.

What support options exist and how parents usually access them

Learn how families access help through schools and community systems, including Utah’s Child Find program.

How to move forward without pressure or rushing

Get clarity on which steps are time-sensitive, which can wait, and how to choose what feels right for your family.

There’s no expectation to act immediately.

This workshop is about information, clarity, and choice.
